How this site handles information

This is a personal identity site operated by Raju Subramani, not a corporate product. Information is collected only where it is needed to respond to you, publish writing, or understand how the assistant is used — never to sell data, run ads, or score individuals.

Who is responsible

Messages you send

If you write through Connect, your name, email, topic and message are stored so the conversation can be read and answered. A copy is also emailed. Records live on Vercel Blob behind unguessable file names and are listed only in the password-protected studio — not on any public page. You confirm this before sending.

Messages are kept for up to 24 months, then removed. You can ask for a copy or deletion at any time.

IP addresses are not stored in readable form. A short hash may be kept only to reduce spam.

Chat assistant

The on-site assistant may store the question you typed in shortened form, without your name, email or location. Emails and phone numbers in the text are removed before storage. This is used to see themes (product, journeys, AI, connecting) — not to identify you.

Question text is kept for 90 days. Category counts may remain after that in anonymous form. Conversation history stays in your browser session and is not uploaded as a full transcript.

Replies may be generated by Groq. Do not share secrets, passwords, or sensitive personal information in the chat.

Journal images

Photographs and illustrations uploaded with journal posts are stored on Vercel Blob so they can be shown on the public Journal. Those files are intentionally public, like any image on the site.

Analytics

Vercel Analytics is used in production to understand which pages are visited. It is privacy-oriented and is not used to build advertising profiles.

Legal bases

Contact messages are processed with your consent. Chat question summaries are processed for a limited legitimate interest: understanding how visitors explore this personal site, with data minimisation. You can ask for erasure of any stored question text that still identifies a situation involving you.

This notice is written to sit alongside the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and to respect GDPR-style expectations for visitors from the EEA: purpose limitation, storage limitation, integrity, and your rights to access, correction, deletion and complaint to a supervisory authority.

What this site does not do

  • It does not sell or rent personal information.
  • It does not use visitor messages to train public AI models.
  • It does not require an account to read the Journal or look at Journeys.
